I’m on a quest to get more people to use a .eth as their Farcaster username. If you don’t use your .eth as your username, why not and what would make you change your mind?

People prefer shorter names they were early for vs. decentralized. :)

But your short names are limited too-- most are prob taken by now or lost already due to inactivity

The landgrab mightve helped  F starting up but ENS distribution/structure is better longterm

Short names become available again after expiry, ENS earns fees on m and ppl that want a short name always could acquire one

It's important to promote decentralization imo, that's how this all started...

And those same ppl youre talking about use long display names. They don't know what they want.

In fact those names aren't short onchain any way, it's just vanity within farcaster
