Anyone who’s dealt with ADHD long enough: has it ever gotten easier? I feel like since becoming aware of the symptoms the struggle has only worsened, despite always considering myself decently self-aware. I don’t know if it’s just the compounding responsibilities of work, marriage, parenthood, and adulthood. Or if it’s some weird permanent brain fog from covid. Or a tangible side effect of being plugged into crypto almost 24/7 for three years. Or just a dwindling sense of agency and direction and control of emotions. But it’s been six years now that I’ve seen three therapists, one psychiatrist with a brief round of antidepressants, and tried numerous tools and tricks yet it all feels like it’s falling apart. Where did I go wrong?

Full disclosure, as a vegetable farmer who focuses on optimizing plant health with mineral nutrition instead of -ides I look through a lens of nutrition for many health issues. If you haven’t tried addressing an omega 3:omega 6 imbalance I would suggest giving it a go for a couple of months and see if it makes a difference. Ideal would be a diet pumping omega 3s naturally, second would be through supplementation, and either way would require reducing omega 6 consumption. Think mg (easiest there is mag glycinate supplementation) would also be beneficial. Final note, having kids naturally creates split focus in all aspects of life, and now might very well just be a heavy phase of life. https://www.additudemag.com/adhd-omega-3-benefits/amp/

I used to take fish oil in hopes it would help with my acne when I was younger but never stuck to it to see a difference. I’ll take a good look at the article and look into both supplements and adjusting my diet to include more plants. Thank you for this info!
