Tokyo Bekana A loose leaf Napa cabbage in the brassica family. A sprinter Transplanted Oct 8 Harrvest started this AM Nov 8 Mild enough to enjoy raw, if cooked just the quickest dance in the pan Kept under row cover* Open sided fieldhouse It’s been very mild. The row cover was less for heat and more because we have a woodchuck burrow just outside this house and need to set up traps; been a bit “lazy” on the late season chuck control.

We offer a no stress Fall > Winter > Spring CSA Don’t focus on storage crops, just what we still have in the fields and then mostly greens and herbs from the tunnels. Rhythms - harvests every couple of weeks before the holidays, a couple distributions in Jan/Feb, and then pick up biweekly shares in April & May. Allows for family time, office time, repair time, project time through the winter and keeps the die hards connected to the farm year round.
