you get cheap, fast transactions merchants don't need to pay/pass down the 3% CC fee transactions less than 1 second, 1 cent will bring the world onchain

This is the piece that I struggle to understand why Elizabeth Warren hasn't come to terms with Crypto's use case. Merchant Fees or interchange fees are akin to a transaction tax for all small businesses. Mobil could singlehandedly give all their franchise owners a significant boost to their bottom line with adoption.

biggest impact is for small business owners (in this case gas stations) with high volume of gross sales, especially for small transactions. reduce fees from 2.9% or 2.5% or whatever they've negotiated to even .5 or 1% with POS service fees and you have significant savings for the retailer. effectively a "tax break"
