U.S. Initial Jobless Claims Fall to One-Month Low

U.S. unemployment claims decreased by 7k to 227k  in the week ending August 15, defying expectations of a rise to 235k

Lot of folks pointing to heat and beryl impacting temporary unemployment in July.

Gov’t jobs still propping up employment market.  If equities stay green and tax receipts are strong then states hold the line, if markets crash and state economies realize the budget shortfall than jobs will go.
