I would like to know what you see on social media Adrienne. Social media seem like cancer honestly. And I say that unironically. Social media, the way it’s structured today, especially Twitter-like platforms where you broadcast potentially to the void and somehow expect a conversation can’t be healthy. And then there are the “signals” the likes and retweets, it’s so passive aggressive - an equivalent to someone putting their thumbs up in real life and move on to something else more interesting. So what makes Farcaster different? Cause I think there’s a lever there to bring more people onboard in the future.

Depends on the client and how it presents its feed - is it a feed for discussion or entertainment, Twitter-like platforms are ill suited for the former. I’ve mentioned twitter - my twitter feed - many times and I’ve curated it to feed me entertainment and it does it quite well. Getting into a discussion in an open platform, unless it’s an important topic (very rare) will give the ick for most people - fear of embarrassment, losing an argument, especially if it means it’s logged forever (decentralised hub) - although there’s an alternative to this where everyone is respectful and mindful about their approach to the discussion but most people are incapable of this.
