Today I found out that some of our ecosystem devs are really slow at buying the bullish new /bolide clanker Had to execute txn for them May need to send some founders to trading school so they can learn how to make it all easier for users

Question for @oxb or @proxystudio.eth — was it snipers or was there some preallocation too? Figured @bolide may want some for rewards.

Thought so too, with such a heavy snipe, yet that top wallet sold 1B of the 20B they sniped A new wallet created yesterday, funded with 10K usd 2 hours ago. So I decided it’s not likely the team. too bad.

They sold a few times, but nothing insane? I’ll look into it when out of this uber We can ask bolide about it too, but don’t see this as an inherently bad thing? Bracket had lots of supporters buying early. Before people complained about snipers and now other people are worried about a team maybe buying- when it’s a launch at a low market cap (the broad preferred style of launch users and teams prefer) we should always presume people will buy early, no? Buying early means buying supply more easily My personal preference is early buyers distribute large holdings a bit, self vest or just not sell much more than their entry right away. but that’s a vibe I like not a rule - free markets have their downsides (or their features people will perceive of negatively). Veil is another recent launch with “insider” snipe/exit I think was sort of fine (not a clanker) . That said happy to look into it ask around

yeah - just not my style to support such a launch tbh - even the follow, set notifs ontweet/cast and then waiting 6-8 minutes to tweet/cast from actual account - I'll sit it out and root for the next project, just feels too much like "insider" universal basic income from my perspective. that's all right plenty of other teams to root for at the moment.

Meh I don’t really interpret any of this the way you do - bolide launched a coin at 30k! Even assuming a snipe they launched it at 100k. This is an awesome way to launch, so easy for a team like this to do it the typical low float high fdv way we’ve seen before over and over Based that they did it differently

Always appreciate yours! I understand the optics (‘insiders?’ ‘evil bots!’) it’s just there are also a lot of “anti sniping” fair launch mechanisms that exist. In practice I haven’t seen them get as much use. because if you limit anyone’s ability to win big fast, normal users can’t really win big fast either. Im cool with that, most seem to not be i see all this with different goggles after 40k launches. If im speculating on new coins, Id rather buy a coin I know was launched at a lower mc than buying after like millions of dollars were invested into something - even presales are simply not as popular in our current crypto markets Otoh I am super excited to go live with our partner g8keep to test if anti sniper mechanisms that penalize wallets for buying lots of supply will have an impact on coin performance Think any set up is just a balancing access/cost for teams, users, short and long term traders. No single perfect model but many ways to experiment and improve iteratively
