this may not be the most popular opinion right now in light of the plan for next $degen season, but man I hate staking in general

i just don't know what problem it solves other than artificially locking up supply temporarily

my father hated staking

my grandfather hated staking

i come from a long line of people who hate staking

You know who didn’t hate “staking” ?

Folks buying 30 year bonds in the 80s still redeeming massive numbers in the 2008 recession.

I think the difficulty with staking is that as it’s currently utilized in the crypto space it’s with inflationary assets…

I think there’s room for experimentation.

Staking tied to FC FID - say up to 50K with a yield tied to term, 3-6–12-18-24 mo lock ups, an opportunity for folks to earn if they’re willing to hold.  Not geared toward whales so it offers opportunity for broad distribution continued.  Only open for set amount of time, so emissions dynamics are well laid out, etc etc.
