Being in the deep South is wild. It’s as if there is an ongoing revolution that few know of. The revolution is unknown because of the absence of good leaders and thinkers. This is often because ideas are stupid to begin with. Tech elites that are currently right-compromising rely on this vacuum. They are clueless of who they actually camp with, of who they actually encourage. Twitter masks the neighbor’s stupidity with innocent hearts and retweets. Elite group DMs are myopic. Tech is to become another single-issue voter. The alliance is unwise. Just make a better elite.

i agree there's a lack of good, original thinkers in the South. how would you go about changing this? It seems that most folks here relate to real, tangible problems rather than abstract intellectual debates. Southern culture is also deeply polite and insular, but I'd argue that is not all that different from cosmopolitan 'elite' circles.
