The Uncontrollability of the World is the clunky English title for this essay by Rosa. In it he argues that much of our biggest joys happen at the edge to Uncontrollability. Take flow, it doesn't happen when you're doing something that's fully in realm of your current skill set. It happens when you go beyond (but not too far). As such he argues we're making ourselves very unhappy by constantly trying to increase what we control and command. More people should read his works. Esp those who design systems that give us ever more power (at the expense of also making us very useless when they don't work)
