CT is full of traders, so trading alpha naturally flows from there or TG. Given how many founders, builders, and VCs are on FC, youโ€™d think thereโ€™d be more token-gated dealflow chats.

I find it wild that only 43% of eligible voters in Ontario voted in the 2022 provincial election. Do we think Ford is staying or getting the boot?

Sun exposure is the #1 cause of skin damage (second to holding ETH for the last two years). IMO sunscreen is essential, esp. since Denver gets 300+ days of sun and its high elevation increases UV exposure by ~10%. Sunscreen products I like: - Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun - nice lightweight texture, affordable AF, doesnโ€™t feel greasy. Korean sunscreens dominate the industry because the US hasnโ€™t approved of a new sunscreen filter since 1999. - Keihlโ€™s Beyond Screen UV Serum - good for oily skin, recently got @matthewb onto this and can vouch for how it feels. When should you wear sunscreen? You should always apply sunscreen if the UV index is 3 or higher, you can easily check this on the weather app and scrolling down to the UV Index section (see photo). If you're outside all day, you should reapply every 2 hours, especially if you're sweaty. How much sunscreen do you need? My fav dermatologist Dr Idriss recommends at least 2 fingers length for your face, and another for your neck.

Besides crusty knuckles, chapped lips were my biggest issue last year. I used Aquaphor Lip Repair multiple times a day. This year, Iโ€™m testing a new product from Dr. Idriss, her Barrier Baste Lip Duo, one product exfoliates the crusty skin, and the other soothes and locks in moisture. I avoid chap sticks like Burts Bees after learning the hard way that it dries out my lips. If youโ€™re sensitive, avoid ingredients like beeswax, menthol, or fragrance.

If youโ€™re planning a day trip outside, you need moisturizer so that your hands donโ€™t get rough and pissed off. Some body products for hydration: - Kiehlโ€™s Ultimate Strength Salve โ€“ it feels like it forms a protective layer on hands without feeling greasy. - Aveeno Calm + Restore - good budget option for full body, also has a version for your face Tip: If you hate greasy hands, apply lotion just to the backs of your hands and rub them together from wrist to nail tips since the outside of your hands faces more of the elements. @matthewb can vouch for this now that his knuckles are nice n soft. In general, itโ€™s a good idea to avoid fragrance (ex. Aesop creams) and just focus on calming down the skin.

Some face products I like for hydration: - Skin Rocks The Moisturizer/The Rich Moisturizer โ€“ personal favourite lately, both feel soothing on my face, also comes with/without fragrance - Skin Rocks The Support Oil โ€“ pairs well with the moisturizer when skin is extra irritated - Skinfix Barrier+ โ€“ another solid face moisturizer, good for instant hydration but also long term health - Kiehlโ€™s Ultra Facial Cream โ€“ extra thiccc - Cocokind Ceramide Barrier Serum - good budget serum, I brought this last year to keep my skin less flaky and red

SKINCARE FOR ETHDENVER Denver climate is dry AF and will leave your face flaky, your lips cracked, and your knuckles red. Between the dry air, late nights, cocktail happy hours, and any red rock adventuring you get up to, staying hydrated is gonna help you in the short and long term. Iโ€™m sharing some tips + products Iโ€™m using to avoid painful, crusty, irritated skin. Dry skin isnโ€™t just uncomfortable, it actually leads to premature aging. A compromised skin barrier makes you more vulnerable to UV damage, pollution, and free radicals. It also slows down skin turnover and makes fine lines more visible. Thatโ€™s why a cream like Skinfix Barrier+ is good for instant relief + long term health because of its blend of peptides, ceramides, and fatty acids that strengthen the barrier and lock in moisture.
