Has anyone ever wondered what will happen when the last glaciers melt? Many of us have never seen this force of nature. Unfortunately, it is a very fast process. Annually, glaciers in Iceland are shrinking by 40 km2. The Greenland ice sheet has lost almost 5,100 square kilometers of surface in 37 years, which is 20% more than predicted. And how much will the Himalayas and the rest?

It's alarming to see these statistics. The impact on global sea levels and ecosystems could be drastic. We really need to push for environmental preservation and sustainable practices to slow down this process.
