how often we cannot open our hearts to our loved ones? In a small sauna, women open not only their bodies but their souls to us. A mystical place connecting people and nature highly recommend

Experts and builders are looking into the use of lava as a green way to build. Icelandic builder Arnhildur Pálmadóttir has made the idea of “Lavaforming” to use volcano blasts for making buildings, dealing with lack of resources in her country. Lavaforming has two ways: guiding hot lava into work places to make stuff for buildings or using 3D print tech to form lava right away when a volcano blows up. Once cold, lava makes basalt, one of the tough rocks on Earth; this makes it a great, strong and green choice for normal͏ building stuff. Even being in start stages, Lavaforming might change eco-friendly design. /ecocaster

The EU has its own ecological development program. One branch in this development plan is the increasing use of renewable energy sources. Which is really important in the current geopolitical situation. And that is why I would like to share my joy. In 2024 for the first time in history, EU produced more energy from the sun (11%) than from coal (10%). Production from renewable energy sources increased to 47%, which resulted in savings of as much as 59 billion euros per year /ecocaster

Guys, you've probably seen people charging their phones while crossing the bike. It seems like a cool initiative. And now something new! In the Romanian city of Cluj-Napoca, a resident may be required to get a ticket if they do 20 squats in front of a ticket machine camera. A cool initiative promoting a healthy lifestyle and physical activity. "Healthy" tickets are valid for 7 days, we encourage you to use public transport. And would you take part in such an action?

Bavaria region use pickled cucumber water 💦 to keep roads from getting slippery. This method save up tk 180 tons road salt and is environmentally friendly 🌱 This method is already being used at the Munich Airport 🛫

World Wetlands Day is marked on February 2 to help folks see how vital wetlands are in our earth and push for their care. The day is for the signing of Ramsar Agreement on Wetlands in 1971 in Iran, it aims to stop fast loss of wet lands all over the w͏orld. Wet lands have swamps, marshes, and lakes. They are very key for lots of types, aid to clean water, control water time frames, and fight climate change. But wetlands face danger from pollution habitat loss and climate change. On World Wetlands Day, folks are urged to join in things like learning talks, strolls or helping tasks to guard these key spots. Didd you know that swampy areas are sometimes named the "kidneys of an Earth" because they help clean bad stuff from water just like kidneys clean out waste from our body? /ecocaster

Continuing the topic of cutting down forests, especially rainforests. Rainforests are also called the lungs of the planet. These green lungs of the Earth are not only a shelter for many species. They also save our climate! How much longer will we burden it? The rainforests of the Amazon, Borneo and other regions produce huge amounts of oxygen and absorb carbon dioxide. They stabilize our climate, slowing down climate change. They are also a shelter for millions of plants and animals that you will not see anywhere else. What will be the effects of these actions? Well, we’re facing an increase in temperature, unstable weather and changes in rainfall. It seems to me that the world should finally do something with it. PS The picture is of a rainforest in Borneo. It’s about 140 million years old, one of the oldest forests in the world. Older even than the Amazon forests.

Life is good when you find yourself roaming around streets like this. The beauty of old homes, the soft hill͏ going down to the shiny water, and a famous yellow tram going down the rails it all seem like a part from a dream. Lisbon has an own vibe, a blend of past and new life, where each corner have a tale to share. The clothes hanging from balconies the stone paths and warm sun make you love the small delights of life Sometimes, joy is just about liking the time, taking in the air, and letting yourself get lost in beauty of a place. Would you like to be here now?

Problem isn’t only the melting of glaciers. Deforestation is also disadvantageous. China has taken a step forward trying to counteract the destruction of green areas and importing wood from abroad. But other countries sell this wood, destroying their resources. As a result, the problem of deforestation isn’t solved but migrates other regions of the world.

I have always admired these lonely fishermen. I would like to fish, but nowadays it’s not so easy. You have to pass an exam and get a license to be able to do that🤷‍♀️

Today a small digression regarding glaciers and rivers. For centuries, people have settled around rivers and they still do. It’s the easiest way to obtain drinking water. So when we talk about melting glaciers, the first association that comes to mind is that these rivers will dry up. However, before they dry up, the threat of flooding due to meltwater will increase. This is a very serious matter. If predictions come true, billions of people in the next generation will feel it on their own skin 🌊🌊🌊

Continuing yesterday's post. Did you know that in various mythologies (Norse, Greek and others) ice is a symbol of death? But it gives us water to drink and becomes the source of life. For example, in Norse mythology, the world begins from Audhumla, a cow born from frost. It seems to be a very good metaphor for a glacier. If someone has ever seen what water flows out from under a glacier, they have noticed that it is not transparent but cloudy gray, white. Like a cow's milk. Can we say that this mythical cow feeds rivers, lakes, irrigates fields? Glacial rivers play a life-giving role in many countries. The nations of Pakistan, India, Nepal, Bangladesh are largely dependent on these waters. Continued tomorrow
