Content and engagement serve as 'currency’ in social media platforms, powering rich digital economies. Akin to some traditional currencies, content and engagement have been experiencing inflation. https://mirror.xyz/filarm.eth/dLolcroQ98JRhVxNpZHOwI1C1E6ecCqLfFFNJ7UgArE

Love the topic. This was a great read. The segment on content inflation resonates a lot. Appreciated this explanation of it: “Much like how an increased money supply with an unchanged goods supply reduces the value of money and lowers the purchasing power”

A related concept I’m thinking about: - blending engagement and currency/value - $DEGEN is a proof of concept - “a like” is binary, on/off - engagement as currency also allows for ways to express “levels of engagement” : I like this -> 200 tokens I LOVE THIS -> 20 000 tokens el Etc.
