Disagree. For lots of the world thats how they communicate. And the people working on this are very different than the people working on the core models

I’m with Brenner on this one. Boomers own 70% of all the world’s wealth, are incredibly lonely, and love phone calls. This will prob be 15% of usage worldwide

Yeah but boomers want to talk with actual human beings, not a robot. I know this from doing customer service for retirement accounts for 2 years. Not only are most of them not acclimated to modern tech, most of them distrust it. Also, current AI cannot provide the same emotional support as a real live human.

Whatever robots the company you do customer service for provides for retirees is not the same thing as advanced voice ChatGPT

My company doesn't provide chatbots, at least not the ones we're familiar with. The point I'm trying to make is older people want to talk with an actual human with actual emotions. That's part of why my team gets so many calls. Also have you tried having a sincere heart to heart emotional chat with ChatGPT? It's like talking to a brick wall that keeps repeating itself. Not very comforting.
