David Phelps constantly has ๐ฅ takes on this space, but this one really zoned in on one of the core problems. If it's ever to overcome this obstacle it will have to continuously make a conceded effort to clarify & abstract the convoluted aspects for the average person https://x.com/divine_economy/status/1808600828598444139

One could say it took 30 years for the internet to go mainstream: 1974 - TCP/IP 1985 - DNS 1991 - WWW 1994 - Netscape 2004 - Facebook It was certainly only highly technical users for the first 20.

You can definitely make the argument that a certain amount of technical literacy and familiarity is required prior to wider adoption. With that being said, Facebook understood that in order to appeal to masses they needed to present themselves in a way that was easy to understand & abstract the technical from the experience.
