I am not a coward and will tell you Garry Tan gives some great startup advice.

However, he also gives some terrible advice and has a weirdly warped view of the world shaped by living his whole live in Silicon Valley.

Consider every piece of advice from him with a grain of salt.

*Especially* because he keeps most of YC's data secret.

Reminds me of when I followed the gospel of Gary Vaynerchuck in my early 20s. At some point I realized he peddled hustle porn and that none of it was sustainable.

High-level, great ideas.

You need to pick and choose what makes sense for you though. Thought leaders tend to have gotten lucky and spend the rest of their days cultivating their image as "expert."
