The perception needs to change from FC <> Twitter similarity ⟶ Twitter is one of the forms that a social graph can take

yeah i think we need to drive home the idea that your FC account lets you use Warpcast, Supercast, Drakula, etc etc etc... driving home that the UI/Utility can change without you starting over ... once you get that -- realizing you get ownership, less slave to the algo, etc etc as bonus things.   I wish the FC website highlighted more unique clients to drive this home.
