Everyone should read the Death and Life of Great American Cities. Especially if you're interested in building networks that last. I think Chris Dixon quoted Jane Jacobs (from this book) in Read Write Own, but it's worth reading in its entirety. Balancing public goods and private enterprise, preventing "blight", etc. A lot of it applies to bringing the world onchain. Plus it's just a fun read. Jacobs is hilarious.
