Everyone should read the Death and Life of Great American Cities.

Especially if you're interested in building networks that last.

I think Chris Dixon quoted Jane Jacobs (from this book) in Read Write Own, but it's worth reading in its entirety.

Balancing public goods and private enterprise, preventing "blight", etc. A lot of it applies to bringing the world onchain.

Plus it's just a fun read. Jacobs is hilarious.

Not sure if this is intentional but there are parts of Ted Lasso where I am certain the character of Ted is based on Prince Myshkin from Dostoevsky's "The Idiot"

Joining farcaster as an anon is like showing up to a cool party where you don't know anyone.

It's still fun but you spend a lot more time lurking than interacting.
