Question: is the proper way to dynamically generate SVGs by just `appenChild` shapes to the `svg` element?

So far I've been using the canvas for generative art and a quick search on my above question doesn't turn anything else up.

there are a few js svg libs that let you add/remove elements in the svg element.
you can use them not only to draw, but create interactive experiences, while the final format is still an svg

as example, the pixelnunc experiment on HeN I created a while ago, you can see the NFT format is a svg+xml
