DigiResiTh0n Social media got disconnected earlier this month. It's a reminder that we, and our gov that uses it for public announcement, need a backup social network to connect with each other in case of another blackout. Get together this weekend and learn (and join) projects building resiliency in our community!

So far there are projects building shelter maps for Taiwan, Japan, and Korea, using Meshtastic to build devices for disaster response, designing disaster grading system and responses, building disaster prevention and preparation database, and many more!

And the capability to add environment sensors sounds like it would be great for this use case! I'm working on building some Meshtastic nodes as well
