I've never read one of your books, just meeting you here! Are your books a story and topic that you knew you wanted to write about for a long time, or was there something that instigated the idea? Can I start with Puzzle Box?

I wanted to write the puzzle box for a long time, specifically because I lived in Japan for two years, and very much wanted to write a novel that was set there. But I wasn’t into the idea of writing a book and setting it there for no reason, so I took some time to figure out a plot that would be worthy of the setting. I think the puzzle box is engaging enough that it will bring people to the Japanese setting and keep them reading until the end!

Great to meet you!! Thanks for the question. Yes, you can definitely start with the puzzle box. It is a standalone novel, even though the main character shows up in the previous book the puzzle master. So you can jump in wherever you want!
