29 Seconds of Farcaster ... What did you miss this weekend? Merkle Hiring Friday took a break, but we did hit 1 million FIDs & celebrated by purging the bots--a generational ritual of sufficiently decentralized social protocols...Warpcast went down Saturday either b/c of the bots' revenge or divine punishment for warplet or Bert's (@mmups) feet pics Zora released a controversial update which depending on your take was a huge win for creators or the end of creators, or maybe a chance to coin your parakeet & retire @pfista killed it w/ a new frame for @buoy search in WC. @jackwyldes.eth continued as the most underrated video maker in web3 w/ a banger about @bankr ... @jc4p continued his tear on frame-making & got a s/o from dan. We look forward to his next frame 'Which Erewhon Hot Bar Item Are You?' The first FC geo-signaling for ETH Denver was @dawufi ...keep an eye out this week for: 'Farcaster is now in Denver, CO' Join @adrienne & @nounishprof for (sort of) more serious FC news ๐Ÿ’œ

GM & a great update as usual! Been thinking a lot about the Zora thing, & looking at various comments made by Jacob etc, & talking to diff artists/creators/builders & thinking a lot of thoughts lol. I think ultimately I'd sum it up as... Generative > Extractive (My longer thesis/viewpoint gets into Symbiotic > Parasitic but that might feel more aggressive ๐Ÿ˜‰ lol) https://warpcast.com/yerbearserker/0xee801504

Yeah I think it's probably a case where there's an intersection of different values/motivations There are those who gain value out of volume, so lower price points/larger quantity of tokens makes sense, and is more liquid... but also seems like it tends to attract a certain audience that is less inclined to longer term price action ๐Ÿ˜‰ And there are those who may be more drawn to models that have greater scarcity/lower supply/higher value & aiming at curating a longer lasting community that feels a higher value attachment to a more singular item. Not necessarily bad things, but I think some are more served by certain models than others, and unless they're going to fund/put a large amount of energy into rewarding those who are creating/using it at the front end, it'll likely feel more extractive to the creators than supportive. But we'll see lol Still very very early
