when you're a kid you go out in the world and the world is full of possibility you grow up and others / and the world convinces you that that's not the case, you have to struggle, we have limited resources, and limited time and whatever yeah, it turns out that is wrong

Being able to unlearn some “adult behaviors” and relearn child-like curiosity and ingenuity is not only underrated, but it makes other grownups look at you funny and tell you you’re crazy.

I have a draft post about adults forgetting how to play. Most simply do not play. There are a few legit reasons, but most are bullshit.

I feel like you are really great at this unlearning - it’s definitely a skill that is to be learned, and it sounds like you’ve spent conscious effort at it - I think it is underrated as well

Modern corporate hierarchy and biases about perceived competency / leadership potential wring it out of most humans. It's sad.

I think I agree but can’t help thinking that we can’t unlearn, just emulate we don’t know. I much prefer thinking this is all about knowing how to roll forward, whatever happens. And children are the best at it (until others teach them it’s “bad for them”).
