I too struggle to come up with an answer. It's a really challenging problem because of scale, but I'm optimistic because so many smart and thoughtful people are working on solutions.

the most interesting thing to me is the discussion of how to fix/preserve the platforms bc they offer a more accessible space for ppl who can't spend 18hrs a day messing with html ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ i don't know what the answer is there but i just think there needs to be a way to fix the balance of the internet so that the platforms aren't the dominant/only experience of the internet like it feels now. my current solution is personal self-control but that doesn't scale
