Ethereum stopped being a cypherpunk movement in 2017 (the ICO era). There is still a remnant and many are on Farcaster, but I don't think that is what defines Farcaster. Farcaster is more of an ETH-maxi social incubator. If you want cypherpunk social, /quilibrium is probably the closest with Nostr as a close second.

Curious what do you think the litmus test is here, I'm more of a big tent guy, I'd even call BlueSky cypherpunk. What I do know is that elon's personal server farm is not it.

I've been pondering something (with a few other people that left Farcaster). Could you build a BSky client with an embedded wallet and bootstrap a crypto social there?

what's stopping you from building it on top of FC? but yes, this is entirely possible but it would be a layered solution and not necessarily an integrated one.

You could definitely take ATProto and run with it, though the existing BSky network users today don't custody their own privkeys, so the identity layer would be pretty untied to the crypto layer. You'd also need to add some UI additions to get ENS to work in the AppView
