i will die on this hill & likely die alongside many of you when this platform sinks into irrelevance after the “new culture” emerges here (or have they already?) & does absolutely nothing to move the needle

crypto is not that big—idk where y’all think our market is, as if there’s millions of crypto-native people around the world searching for a little corner of the internet where they can become their wallet…

there is most definitely not

there are a few million of us & in terms of attention, many of the big names already came here, churned & do not intend on returning

that means their communities of several hundred thousands do not intend on returning either

now instead of discussing how we can incentivize better acquisition, which in turn will drive distro & liquidity, bringing new devs, more capital, new ideas & enrich us as a network

the 250 person leader board is largely still debating whether or not it’s a cultural issue?

i genuinely give fc about a month in on solana socialfi getting pushed, and no one will remember warpcast 

fc will continue to grow but mindshare is a very fickle mistress 

solana already has socialfi just no killer app. few

hmm hadn't thought about socialfi on solana. tho tbh im mostly of the belief that actually nobody cares at all about socialfi [esp pumpfun sweats]

trying to decide if i even care. main thing would be account transfer based on wallet identity. not sure what else currently regarding the crypto aspect. farc is interesting to me still because of channels/networks and just generally less retards/jocks.

if it were to pop up on sol, id assume it'd rip for a while just like farc did, then everyone would head back to x once they'd sucked the eco dry.

that being said - if you wanted to attract the solana crowd, you'd build solana compatible products on farc no? esp. cuz of the general hatred of base

that's already possible, but I haven't seen a solana frame

there’s not solana transaction support which is needed to create compelling frames

Dan has said that he doesn’t think there’s demand for it bc he hasn’t seen any compelling solana frames 

i think that’s because txn support is needed 

FC also is viewed as very eth aligned which makes it hard to attract solana builders

idk if i think sol support is the right thing. but if your goal is growth [dan] seems incredibly obvious that you'd incentivize building solana txn support / attracting sol builders. 

if your goal is to remain eth aligned, then don't change, no sweat

Feels like a worthwhile growth experiment that would encourage more people active on Solana to use farcaster 

I’m sure the Solana Foundation and others would help promote the functionality too

In Feb 2024 this topic got some love, and it looked like there was a genuine attempt to make Solana support in FC a real thing. Then in the span of week, crickets. My guess is that some people with big bags got upset.

I don’t see how you can “win crypto” without Solana and Eth.

well, i wouldn't discount what toly said. it was pretty straightforward and i think what he said came from a stance of solana and eth working together. he's always been that way

maybe sol eco is hoping warpcast will fund it.

my belief is solana socialfi happens already with how interconnected all the memecoin cabals are. warpcast functionality would just slow that down
