really don't like mom/dad, bc then everyone's gonna act like children. and don't really like gardener, bc ppl can grow on their own. community manager, puts too much responsibility on 1 person, bc then everyone is looking to management to say whats next. community steward is my favorite, bc it's assuming individuals in the community are responsible for themselves, but the steward is there to support with guide posts and caution signs.

Nice perspectives. Not sure I agree with your view on mom/dad but see where you are coming from. In my old work, we PhDs would call the secretary our mom because of the support she gave us.

Yeah, I've been that secretary before, not for PhD's, more for firm partners.
