The core protocol community is still small enough there will be inevitable overlaps that could present potential COIs, even without a contract or money involved. There are bigger fish to fry than to solve for this for the majority of core developer positions, so long as there is transparency around the advisorships.

Transparency is key, but balancing the overlaps and growth could be challenging. Hopefully, openness will guide the community effectively!
