At Devcon, @adietrichs suggested that a good way to scale the L1 is to rapidly prioritize EIPs that lower gas prices for obviously overpriced opcodes. It's effectively a big gas limit increase. I'd be in favor of this as a late inclusion for Pectra. Vitalik wrote about this too.

This (appeal-pending) Dutch ruling applies near-limitless liability to software development. The reasoning could be applied to open source contributors *far beyond crypto or privacy/security*. Due process & technical understandings w/in judiciary are important to everyone.

I actually find it amazing how many people don't think it's easy to kill crypto in a country. It's honestly as easy as telling every bank they can't do cash on/off ramps to any crypto sites. Boom, game over, next map.

The core protocol community is still small enough there will be inevitable overlaps that could present potential COIs, even without a contract or money involved. There are bigger fish to fry than to solve for this for the majority of core developer positions, so long as there is transparency around the advisorships.

during the last cycle, we tried to make it a thing that apps would write “built on Ethereum” on their website because Ethereum was being used extensively, but it wasn’t obvious we are there again everything is full circle (including capitulation and rebirth)
