I’d say Mastodon. For ppl I know that are choosing to leave Twitter they are either coming here or going there. Still a bit early for BlueSky to say where it falls.

i’m a fairly advanced and technical user, and i did get in but after a lot of struggles. def harder than wallet connect so not sure where it’s land in the mainstream consumer land.

Agreed. I think all of these have a ways to go before the onboarding is good enough for mainstream usage.

There are 10M users on ActivityPub. I _think_ about 70% are on Mastodon. The number of users who onboard mobile first is growing, which is a lot easier than the web interface. Medium, Flipboard, and Mozilla all have their own server instances. Strong signal that Tumblr will turn on ActivityPub support.

Likely that AP wins _as a social network_ for now. Farcaster and ATProtocol are both protocols and can potentially power a “social layer” as well as portable data schemas. Ceramic/3Box sort of started with this plan too but are mostly focused on data now.
