Steam is the one that doesn’t quite fit in that it was a developer building a distro system for patching vs explicitly building a platform. The games for Valve came well before the platform. For Nintendo, Microsoft, and Sega the platform was the product from the get go.

Steam was CS and HL2 originally - HL was out a few years prior! And man, was Steam hated at launch. The HL2 hard requirement to have it was what got it installed en masse. Thing was constantly crashing, was considered bloatware for a while. Me and my 56k modem despised it. Became legendary, ofc

Contra, River Ride, Dizzy, Captain Tsubasa on Atari console and SIM City for C64 with casset player, Amiga 1200 also cool because was good for editing videos, who remember these beautiful times?😅

💯 Give people new things to do in the platform in order to get them to use it. Sounds a little like crypto, too much infra not enough /consumercrypto

In the entire history of launching eyeglasses , no company has ever survived without launching actual eyeglasses 👓 We already have our Nouns Eyeglasses in production and they're q good fit for the NFT/Crypto folks so that we can flaunt them IRL 🔥
