Eastern cultures still mostly operate on handshake deals — partly because the court systems are so slow or broken

Having been behind a few scenes, I think the more people (usually friends) are ready to put contingencies in writing, the longer and stronger the partnership/friendship.  

I think lawyers win when shit goes sideways because people didn’t plan
