I want some ice cream aficionados weighing in @boop @links What's your thoughts on Van Leeuwen? I feel it's just great marketing and a mediocre product 😬 texture and flavor left much to be desired

Van Leeuwen in person can be pretty good. Pints are iffy - I find corner stores mess up and the texture is off (I feel this is common among higher quality ice cream in general though). Basic flavors I enjoy, but generally haven't been wow'd by rotating flavors. Salt & Straw is a similar, but better concept

I had Van Leeuwen from the store. I got strawberry matcha and 🤔 the texture left much to be desired tbh it's like it has a difficult time melting even though it wasn't vegan. Maybe too much stabilizer. I had better experience with salt & straw.
