Prediction for 2025: Optimistic governance will make a comeback. DAOs will stop throwing tokens at people, expecting them to vote, and then crying about low participation. Instead, they’ll operate like traditional startups, but with decentralized ownership and oversight. Core teams will handle day-to-day business efficiently, while token holders retain the power to veto decisions or replace the team when needed. https://x.com/idriss_xyz/status/1867260628764963071

1. Delegated execution with decentralized oversight isn’t central planning 2. Even if it were, central planning alone is really far communism I know you’re joking, no way someone with 'DAO Design' in their bio would really think abolishing private ownership and market systems is what DAOs are

Seriously though, I do have concerns about DAOs that give/allow too much power to a central group of figures and still want to be called a DAO. Call yourself an onchain corp if that’s the case, which is what many DAOs have been. It really bugs me when I get a token, think I’m in a DAO just to find out the “central players” are gonna make all the decisions and do all the things for “the good of the token holders” yeah ok….all you’ve done is use token holders to fund your fantasy.
