Ideology is fine, no matter what yours is, just spend your time loving yours and spend none on hating others. If your ideology truly is “the best” then over time that should play out. This is a excellent question. At one time (and probably still is the case) it was the most decentralized chain, as far as its validator pool. I haven't used it much in the last while, but at one time it was my fav (xDAI). Unfortunately, its use case has been dramatically reduced with low costs on the L2s. TBH, maybe it's time to start practicing how to fold a blockchain because we're going to need to do that effectively.
