I never used any social media apps (insta, twitter etc) before. Didn't really feel the connection to it. When I got to know about Farcaster I was hooked. I actually wanted to go deeper into the Web3 communities & it seemed like the best thing to do. Now, I use /firstdraft to stay accountable with my writing practice and different channels/people to stay up-to-date in the cryptoverse. But I think the main reason is authenticity. Web2 social Media is full of fake & un-realness. On farcaster the vibe is different, people are much more open, vulnerable, transparent & real!

Love the vibe here too. Real recognizes real. I'm curious: how did you hear about Farcaster and find your way here, given that you hadn't used any other social media apps previously?

Hmm, that is a good question. I don't fully remember, but I think somewhere last year around this time, I read an article in a crypto broadcast channel on telegram. My curiosity was piqued & since then I am in discovery mode! It is starting to feel more & more home here :-) What about you? How did you get here? By the way, I really appreciate your content. Every time you publish something new, I get excited. Because I know it's going to be a good read!

Love to hear all of that, and glad you're starting to feel more at home here. I heard about FC through Twitter, and decided to join when I heard that one of my writer friends had joined. Didn't want to miss any of his updates. I quickly made myself comfortable, and two years later I'm still convinced this is the only social media worth the effort for me. Thanks so much for the kind words about my writing. Great to hear that you enjoy it! I imagine you're talking about my main newsletter on Paragraph, but maybe you meant group chats or something else? I wrote the weekly discussion prompt this week for the /words channel (will be posted on Tuesday the 28th), so you can keep an eye out for that too.

Glad that you made it here! I feel you, FC feels for me like the most aligned online space right now. Curious how this space will evolve over time! Group chats, paragraphs or posts from you, whatever gets my attention or into my feed, I enjoy reading. Very reflective & structured. I guess, that is what you master over the years, as a senior editor?! Okay cool, I will check out this week's prompt in /words 🥭🦆
