Most of the seed oils are safe but NOT healthy for you. 
Paint chips now a days are safe to eat but not good for you.
Most of the studies you find are actually being written by ladies and gents that are being paid by  whatever seed oil producers .
They are the ones giving funding to the people who write the case studies, so they are very incentivised to portray the product in a positive light
