do you pick your channel first and then decide on post/image

or do you write a post/select an image before picking a channel

I have a pice of art I want to post and then I think of the channels it would probably resonate in and then I have to open a new tab and check the norms of the ones I picked to make sure I am not making anyone upset posting. Wish you could see those on the post composition window!
