Agree with this. You aren't going to onboard 1/8th of the world's population hyping airdrops and cannons. You need to cast a huge net, so niche and general pops for it all to work.

you got it! plenty of nerds here already but if this is meant to be an actual alternative to twitter you need content creators and they aren't going to be too excited to jump through a bunch of hoops for 3 degen....

Degen in its current configuration couldn't 100M, let alone 1B users, but that's the point. You need to test and configure for scale to incentivize the behavior you are looking for. There may be 100 Degens or just 1. We are in the process of finding out what is possible. As always, we are so insanely early.

Fair enough, but I'll give it to you straight, seems like you've got the dev crowd covered. A decentralized social network is desperately needed so you're on the right track, but in order to cast that wider net the incentives should be a lot more user friendly with immediate results.

Well in terms of proportion of pop, devs are a tiny, tiny portion of the total DAU. Also, you seem to be implying that social media can only grow if you incentivize users with rewards. I don't think that has been the case in the entire lifecycle of the technology. This is a new mechanism that is being tested here.
