Didn’t know this but Telegram chief Pavel Durov is apparently a UAE citizen. UAE is sort of a quasi “network state” and it will be interesting to see how durable its citizenship guarantees are but how much they offer him assistance or intervention now.

also a french citizen, seems like they gifted him citizenship already planning for this (was controversial and shunned out at the time)
