I think getting their email and sponsoring an invite for them to join is prob the best way (if you get them to convert)

yep i'd also say introducing them yourself to get them some folllowers/interactions early where the algo misses is also nice, you could send them some starter packs. / lists of channels 

i think team merkle was working on some channel focused onboarding but not sure
