What is the best bit of advice that you have ever been given? Who gave it to you and how did it impact you?

I remember an old boss of mine told me "the cream always rises to the top". It really stuck with me. The message is that if you work hard to develop your talents then you will eventually rise to the top and be rewarded for your efforts.

My dad once told me, 'There’s a reason there are 26 letters in the alphabet. If plan A doesn’t work, try B, and keep going. By the time you reach plan Z, you'll figure it out.' 

I used to stress over creating the perfect plan and feared failing, but he helped me see the value of perseverance and the importance of learning with each attempt—even if it means trying 26 times before I succeed.

These days I don't fear failing, I just keep trying and doing things differently until it eventually works out but if it doesn't then maybe it wasn't meant to be.
