hmmm

it definitely does boil down to community it seems

(idea + symbols) + community

very rough formula

this "tooling" part is where is a lot of crypto communities struggle imo

but it's also interesting to see hockey stick growth of certain communities where tooling is irrelevant and comes way later

i think the community is the brand. this is why identity and values are so important. i am american. i am a christian (if i were). 

the "brand" (the central body) then has to create tools for the community to express that identity. capitalism or the bible for example.
