In my 10 years of DJing I’ve never:
1. Used CDJs
2. DJed off of a flash drive. Computer only.

imo the main benefit of CDJs is the portability of your sets via USB

other than that, a controller / laptop can move the crowd just the same. most sets just come down to loops, tempo shift, beat jumping, and cue points

I was a serato & vinyl dj from 2005-2012. I still use serato now but with cdj's. I like the range & being able to find songs quickly. Using vinyl is cooler for onlookers than for us dj'ing 🤣
