Been enjoying vibe coding a lot lately, as well as AI art generation, and I'm starting to wonder if using AI this much is actually having a NEGATIVE effect on my creativity..........

I think its both. I see sometimes some lazyness creep in, but also do some much more different things now. I can do things I could not before. But I also somehow do the things I love doing way less. 

Biggest thing for me though is that vibe coding, or AI generation often kind of looks to good too fast. I feel that sometimes holds you more back then it should.

Yeah. I wonder how much were actually missing by not having to struggle as much to get to a good result.

Even if we have experience with making things BEFORE vibe coding.

Absolutely! I think I mean struggle more in the sense of “through trials you reach new conclusions/solutions” but yeah I think more breathing room is better!
