Not the ending I was expecting for a Sunday night.... just got a call that there was a shooting in my sisters neighborhood. She lives in a quite suburb in FL in a house they just had built with her husband & their kids. Tons of kids in the area, block parties with cookouts, a playground etc. Thankfully everyone in my family is safe and luckily she has tons of cameras, so she's able to help the police with footage..... it's honestly very sad that this is the world were living in. I pray we can somehow turn things around! 🙏

Glad all is well! That is so scary. I live in a pretty chill area of FL -- and yet a few years back I would routinely hear gun shots at night that sounded like they were right outside my window (like AR-15 type shots). First time I nearly jumped out of my skin. Called the cops multiple times and finally after about a year and having this happen dozens of times, they found some kid who was basically doing target practice in the woods (not deep woods -- this was right up next to I-75 in a lil suburban neighborhood and I lived next to a high school). Just the fun of living where every other person has a gun.

Oof. Horrible. Glad the family is OK. Wife is a librarian. They have had a couple gun scares in the past year. Trying hard not to normalize it. Just need somewhere to put outrage to better action.
