The past year has been incredibly alienating for me as a Jewish person. I've watched people I consider friends spew completely one sided nonsense in regards to the conflict, as if Oct 7 never happened. I've watched them be totally silent when it comes to other real genocides or the mass graves in Syria.

I've watched them post things that literally deny any historic ties to the land while indigenous peoples have come out in support of a two state solution. I've seen "liberal" and "kind" people wield the term "zionist" the way the antisemites in the USSR did and now I'm left wondering who, if any, are really friends

The truth is I have always been fairly critical of Israel and definitely of BB, but does it matter? I shouldn't have to dance for acceptance or be permitted to be seen as an individual. I shouldn't have to argue that many Israelis deserve to live as much as their neighbors in Gaza.
