Just some thoughts on $DEGEN: I genuinely think it was one of the greatest meme tokens ever not because of price action, but because of how it worked. It was fun. It was about tipping, rewarding good vibes, and building community in real time. That simplicity made it powerful.

But somewhere along the way, it got over-complicated. All the talk of “it has to be an L3” and the shift toward staking, farming, and added mechanics started to dilute the original magic. 

The point wasn’t to build another DeFi product it was to make tipping part of the culture.

Yes, there were issues like farming and bots but those are solvable without changing the soul of the token. 

What killed the momentum wasn’t the loss of utility, but the loss of simplicity. People weren’t asking for staking dashboards or gas optimization they just wanted to tip someone for a good post.

When something works, sometimes the best thing you can do is not mess with it too much.

Oh well.
